Peel CAS Opens Expanded Office at Toronto Pearson Airport

Jun 17, 2026, 16:35 PM

This week marks an exciting milestone for Peel Children’s Aid Society as we officially opened our newly expanded office at Toronto Pearson Airport, reinforcing our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and providing timely support to children, youth, and families.

As one of the busiest international gateways in the world and located within the community we serve, Pearson Airport is a critical point of connection for people arriving from across Canada and around the globe. By establishing an enhanced presence within the airport, Peel CAS is strengthening access to child protection services and ensuring children, youth, and families can receive support as early as possible, when and where they need it most.

The expanded office will also serve as a hub for specialized services through Peel CAS’ Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence (CWICE) and nCourage Anti-Human Trafficking Hub. These teams provide expertise and support to children and youth whose immigration status, migration experiences, or other vulnerabilities may increase their risk of harm, exploitation, or human trafficking.

“Every child’s journey matters. For some children and youth arriving into Canada, that journey may include uncertainty, vulnerability, or risk. By establishing a stronger presence at Toronto Pearson Airport, we are creating a safer and more supportive environment where children and youth can be met with compassion, protection, and care. This is what early intervention looks like, meeting children where they are and working together to build a brighter, safer future.” – Mary Beth Moellenkamp, CEO, Peel CAS

Bringing these services together within Pearson Airport creates a more coordinated, child and youth-centred response in partnership with community organizations. Through strengthened collaboration and shared expertise, we can identify concerns earlier, respond more effectively, and ensure children and youth are connected to the care, protection, and resources they need.

This expanded presence reflects Peel CAS’ commitment to reimagining how child welfare services are delivered, meeting children, youth, and families where they are, building stronger partnerships, and removing barriers to accessing support.

The world is at our doorstep, and with it comes an opportunity and responsibility to ensure every child and youth who enters our community is welcomed with safety, dignity, and the support they deserve.
